appearance off the Ragdoll

A Ragdoll is addictive!!! She does not only inspire by her loving devoted nature, but also knows how to pull people under her spell through her various forms of appearance ... S
The genuine Ragdoll does only excist in the three traditional drawing shapes (pattern) bicolor, Mmtted und colorpiont as well as in the four traditional colors seal, blue, chocolate and lilac. Afterwards there came from the USA still other drawing shapes - called (tabby) Lynx – and some other colors such as red, cream und tortie.. The opinion aout these manifestations are totally different. From these points of view the fight between the fans of the pure traditional Ragdolls and those who are of the opinion, that the lynx etc. had already excist all the time, began and this fight might for sure never end and will excist until eternity. So far I refer to the following link: Original Ragdoll. As I am a very strictly fan of the pure traditional pattern and colors too I will confine myself to the following to illustrate them only in detail here. To the traditional Ragdolls belong all cats that are writtem down in the genetic cards of Danny Dayton.
Bicolor
The Bicolor-Ragdoll carries an inverted V in her face, which might vary from the size. Ideally the inverted V should not be bigger than the outer eye margins and it should be like an isosceles triangle (means evenly). The bicolor-Ragdoll should have four white legs and a white stomach. The move cover should be darker than the stomach but clearer than the points; it sould be closed in color but white marks on the back in every from and size are tolerated. The point-color of the points (ears, mask and tale) is darker and should be well delimited from the body-color. The bicolor-Ragdoll should have pink colored balls and nose.
People differentiate between the true bicolor-Ragdolls und die high-mitted-Ragdolls. The true bicolor-Ragdoll is both phenotypic (that means from the outer appearance) and genotypic (that means from the genetic appearance) a bicolor; the high-mitted-Ragdoll is phenotypic a bicolor, genotypic however a mitted.
Mitted
The mitted-Ragdoll has to have a white chin. This white must be refelected in a continuous strip on chest and stomach until to the ltail approach. If this strip ist bride or only small is secondary; but he must not be interrupted at all. The front paws have white gloves and the paws behind should be white at least to heel and not more than to the middle of the drumsticks. The white must not have any white marks in it. On the nose strip can be a white stripe (blaze, flame). The nose mirror has the color of the points. The balls are pinky.
Colorpoint
The Colorpoint-Ragdolls have so called points (ears, mask , feet and legs as well as the tale), that are colored. They are comparable to those of the Siamese or the colorpoint Persians. The body color is to be clearer than the points. The balls and nose must have the color of the points.
Concerning the appearance of the Ragdoll is to say in general that it is a medium sized cat with a long and muscular body that has a strong bone structure. The breast is massive and well built The hindquarters is muscular and heavy. The shoulder of the adult cat is the same wide as the posterior.
The eyes are big, oval and slightly oblique. The outer eye rand should build a line with the outer ear approach. The color of the eyes must be blue; the more intense the better even if there are countries that prefer more lighter eyes.
The ears are of medium size with a broad approach. The peaks are rounded. The inside of the ear is medium hairy. The ears are to be set wide on the Ragdolls head and easily be tilted forward.
The nose should show a slight inward-facing arc in the upper third.
The cheeks are well developed which taper to a well-developed medium-snout with a strong chin.
The neck is short and strong.
The legs are of medium lenght with medium bone structure. The hind legs are slightly higher than the front legs so that the move to the front line drops slightly.
The paws shall be big, fro,. rpimd amd compact. They have hair tufts between the toes.
The tale is long, medium at the base and tapers slightly towards the tail's end. It is in proportion to the body. It is well hairy and bushy.
The coat is of medium lenght. It is dense, soft and shows a sildy texture. It rests against the body and breaks when the cat moves. The coat on the neck is the longest and frames the outer edge of face In the face the coat is short. From the end of the head the coat becomes longer over the shoulder to the back At the sides, on the belly and on the posterior it is medium to long. On the front legs it is dense and short to medium. On the hind legs ist is medium, dense and feathery.
The development takes quite a long time; the Ragdolls only reaches its full development in the age of four years. This principle is of course confirmed by exceptions; some of the cats develop themselves more quickly and some others more slowly. The female Ragdoll is remarkably smaller than the studs. It is undoubtedly that the Ragdoll has a very friendly and gentle character reagardless of whether it is a female or a male.
